DO NOT DO THIS.  Instead word process your work in a word processor, you can click to save on that many times, then go ahead when your work is "Complete" in your word processor and you are ready to submit it under your moodle classrom, then "copy and paste" your work into the moodle posting box under "assignments" and click on "save changes". (again do this only "once") - you can then click on "assignments" on the left of your moodle classroom and you should be able to verify that your work was posted.

Each time you go back and edit and save changes it updates your submission
On the Forum discussions, click on the forum, then click on "post here" and click on reply, and then type in your discussion in the box, and click on "post to forum"
your questoins, questions, and then click on submit. Please note that the questions are "shuffled" each time you enter, so if you open it up to copy and paste the questions, so that you can study the chapter and then answer them, and then post your answers to the quiz, make sure answer the correct question which corresponds to your answer

Moodle is our new system. We are getting a lot of questions about how it works. Basically there are assignments, which are submitted and individually graded by the online instructor, quizzes, again individually graded, and forum discussions which may or may not be graded depending on your instructor.
The forums are set up so that every time a student posts you will recceive an email. This feature in Moodle is to provide the sense of an "on campus" classroom discussion. If you would rather receive a complete digest of all postings just once a day, you just go to "profile" on the left side of moodle, and set up the option for "complete digest".

Remember the forums are not graded individually, but just at the end of the semester, as a total of 10% for class participation (an not on the content of your postings) - so feel free to discuss your ideas in each forum
